Foliar Spraying Technique with CANNA Rhizotonic
CANNA Rhizotonic is a powerful root stimulator based on natural algae extracts and vitamins. In addition to root application, Rhizotonic can also be used as a foliar spray — especially effective for transplant stress, the early growth phase, and recovery after environmental shocks.
What is CANNA Rhizotonic?
Rhizotonic is a 100% natural product based on seaweed extracts that stimulates root development, increases disease resistance, and accelerates recovery after transplanting. It contains over 60 microbiological elements for vigorous root growth.
Benefits of Foliar Spraying
During foliar application, Rhizotonic is absorbed directly through the leaf surface (stomata), bypassing the root system. This is particularly useful when:
- Roots are damaged or underdeveloped (cuttings, transplanting)
- The plant is under stress (heat, overwatering, nutrient lockout)
- Early vegetative growth needs to be accelerated
- Plants need a quick vitality boost
Application as a Foliar Spray
Dosage: 40 ml per 10 liters of water (4 ml/L)
Procedure:
- Mix Rhizotonic with clean, pH-regulated water (pH 5.8–6.2)
- Use a fine mister for even coverage
- Spray the undersides of the leaves (where the stomata are most dense)
- Spray when the lights are off or in the morning/evening
- Do not spray during the flowering phase — only in the growth phase and on cuttings
Frequency: 1–3 times per week during the first 1–2 weeks after transplanting or when stress symptoms appear.
Important Tips
- Always spray with the lights off to avoid leaf burn
- Combine foliar spraying with root watering for maximum effect
- Rhizotonic is compatible with all CANNA nutrient lines (Terra, Coco, Aqua, Hydro)
- Store in a cool, dark place; use the diluted solution within 24 hours
When NOT to Spray
- During the flowering phase (risk of mold on the buds)
- Under intensive HPS/LED lighting
- If humidity is already above 70%
Note: CANNA Rhizotonic is available at authorized retailers, including AZ Growshop Thailand.
