The frame is set by the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health Re: Controlled Herbs (Cannabis), B.E. 2568, published in the Royal Gazette on 25 June 2025 and in force from 26 June 2025. The flower is a controlled herb; supply runs through a practitioner using the prescription form known as Phor Thor 33, capped at thirty days per prescription; advertising cannabis and selling it online are both prohibited.
Two things travellers routinely get wrong. A prescription issued in Thailand does not authorise carrying the product out of Thailand, and most neighbouring jurisdictions treat possession severely, so the return leg is the part to check first. And this sub-board does not recommend clinics, arrange consultations or connect anyone to a supplier; that would be advertising, which the Notification prohibits.
