The cannabinoids beyond the two everyone names: cannabigerol, cannabinol, cannabichromene, the tetrahydrocannabinol isomers sold as delta-8 and delta-10, and the difference between a compound the plant makes and one a laboratory converts into existence.
Most of these are minor by weight in the plant, which is why commercial products containing them in quantity are usually the result of a conversion from cannabidiol rather than an extraction. That process leaves reaction by-products, and the safety question about delta-8 products is mostly a question about those residues and about who tested for them.
Two things are worth keeping straight. The evidence base is thin for nearly all of them, and a confident claim about what cannabigerol or cannabinol does is usually running well ahead of what has been measured in people. And the legal position follows the molecule rather than the marketing: in Thailand an extract above 0.2 percent tetrahydrocannabinol is governed by the Ministerial Regulation on Cannabis or Hemp Extracts B.E. 2569, in force since 26 April 2026, whatever the label calls it.
