This board covers the equipment people use to consume cannabis: vaporizers, smoking gear and cartridges. Posts here look at each device as hardware. That means its parts, its materials and its settings, which you can check and compare. The board is for readers who already have a lawful reason to use cannabis. In Thailand, one example is a patient with a PT 33 (ภ.ท.33) prescription.
What this board covers
Three questions matter most here:
- How a vaporizer controls temperature. A vaporizer heats cannabis until the active compounds turn into vapour, without burning the plant material. The temperature you set changes what comes off.
- What a cartridge is made of. A cartridge (often called a “cart”) is a small pre-filled container of cannabis oil that screws onto a battery. Its metal, glass, plastic and wick parts all touch hot oil.
- How the device changes what you take in. Each device changes three things. The first is how quickly the effect starts (the “onset”). The second is how much active compound you actually take in (the dose). The third is what else reaches your lungs along with it.
When you post about any of these, name your device and the setting you use. Other members can then compare their results with yours on the same device.
Where to post: the three sub-boards
Each type of equipment has its own sub-board:
- Vaporizers: temperature settings, how the device heats, cleaning and repairs.
- Smoking Gear and Accessories: pipes, bongs, grinders, papers, and how to clean and look after them.
- Vape Carts and Cartridges: what a cartridge is built from, how it behaves when heated, and how to spot a fake.
Four subjects make the most useful threads:
- Maintenance. This covers cleaning, replacing worn parts and caring for the battery. A clean device heats evenly and lasts longer.
- Materials. This covers what the heating chamber, mouthpiece and seals are made of. These parts touch hot material, so their make-up matters.
- Temperature behaviour. This covers what changes when you raise or lower the setting. Write down the setting and what you noticed, so others can repeat the test.
- Counterfeit detection. This covers how to tell a fake device or cartridge from a genuine one. With a fake, you cannot know what metal or oil you are heating.
Pick the sub-board that matches your device before you post. That way your thread sits next to others about the same equipment.
Translator’s note: Rooms and parked vehicles in Thailand often reach 30–35 °C, and humidity stays high in the rainy season. Heat wears out batteries faster and raises the risk of a battery fault. Damp air can corrode metal contacts, and plant material left in a chamber or grinder can go mouldy. Store devices and batteries in a cool, dry, shaded place, never in a parked car or a sunny window. Charge them only where you can watch them, and unplug chargers during storms and power cuts. Dry a washed grinder or pipe completely before you put material in it again. Doing this keeps the battery working longer, lowers the fire risk and keeps mould out of your device.
Two limits
Limit 1: Talking about devices is fine; selling and promotion are not

- content aimed at countries where cannabis is prohibited.
In Thailand, cannabis flower is a controlled herb. This comes from the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health on Controlled Herbs (Cannabis), B.E. 2568, which has been in force since 26 June 2025. Advertising cannabis flower is prohibited, and so is selling it online. The forum applies the same line to every cannabis product, including oil and cartridges. So a thread about how a device works is fine. A thread offering flower, oil or cartridges is not. For details, see the advertising and selling rules for cannabis in Thailand.
Translator’s note: Selling a controlled herb without a licence is an offence under Section 46 of the Thai Traditional Medicine Protection Act B.E. 2542 (1999). Under Section 78, the penalty is up to 1 year in prison, a fine of up to 20,000 baht, or both. The oil in a cartridge is a cannabis extract. Since 26 April 2026, the Ministerial Regulation on Cannabis or Hemp Extracts B.E. 2569 has applied. Under it, extracts above 0.2% THC are licensed only to three groups: Thai juristic persons that are not “foreign” under the Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542, state agencies, and the Thai Red Cross Society. Thailand also bans importing e-cigarettes under a Ministry of Commerce notification of December 2014. It also bans selling them or providing them as a service under a Consumer Protection Board order of 2015. These rules do not clearly say whether a cartridge battery or a dry-herb vaporizer counts, so do not assume either one is legal to import or sell. On this forum, do not post where to buy, import or ship vape devices or cartridges. Post only about equipment you already have and how it works.
Limit 2: Dose questions go to the Medical Cannabis board
Ask questions about how much to take, or how often, in Medical Cannabis. There, the route of administration is treated as part of the treatment, not as a personal preference. The route is the way cannabis enters the body, for example inhaled vapour, smoke or swallowed oil. A doctor decides it together with the dose. That is because the same amount acts very differently depending on how it enters the body.
If your question is about dose, post it in Medical Cannabis. Include the device and the route you use, so the answer fits your situation.
