Welcome to Edibles & Recipes

Cannabis-infused cooking, baking, tinctures, and dosing guides for edibles.

Two conversions decide the result, and almost every disappointing edible failed at one of them. Heat turns the acid forms in raw plant material into the neutral cannabinoids that are active, and too much heat destroys what it just made; the infusion step then moves those molecules into a fat or an alcohol, because they will not go into water. Dose belongs in every recipe thread for a second reason: an oral dose passes through the liver first and arrives late enough that people take a second helping before the first one lands, and a home infusion has no assay behind it, so a figure in milligrams is an estimate and should be written as one.
