Temperature is the variable that matters. Different compounds leave the plant material at different points, so the setting changes what is actually delivered, and a device whose display and airpath disagree is the usual reason two people describe the same machine completely differently. Airpath materials matter for the same reason: glass, ceramic and stainless steel behave in the heat path in a way that plastic does not. Two limits. Discussion here is about the device, not about promoting recreational use or supplying anything.
