Diagnosis before treatment. Telling mites from thrips, powdery mildew from botrytis, and a failing root zone from a feeding error, then deciding what to do in the week after you find it.
Mites, Botrytis and Powdery Mildew have their own sub-boards because each one has a different life cycle and a different window in which action still works. Plant Infirmary is the open board: post photographs, the environment readings and what you changed recently, and the thread becomes diagnosable.
Two things are worth knowing before you reach for a bottle. Identification first is not a slogan here; the standard treatments for sucking insects, fungal pathogens and root pathogens have almost nothing in common, and the wrong one costs you the week the infestation needed. And anything sprayed during flowering has a good chance of appearing on the laboratory certificate later, which is why biological control and environmental control are discussed ahead of chemistry, particularly for anyone selling into a tested market.
