Welcome to Events & Conferences

Welcome to the Events & Conferences category! Share information about trade shows, conferences, workshops (hands-on training sessions) and other events related to the cannabis industry in Asia and worldwide.

Topics to discuss

  • Cannabis trade shows in Thailand
  • Cannabis conferences and seminars in Asia
  • Workshops and training sessions
  • Event reviews and recaps
  • Community meetups and gatherings (in-person meetings of forum members)

Only share legal, industry-related events. “Legal” means legal under Thai law. If the event is held in another country, it must also be legal under that country’s law.

What you can post and what will be removed

You can post trade fairs, conferences, seminars, training on growing, testing or licensing, and meetups where growers share know-how.

Moderators will remove posts about:

  • events that sell or promote cannabis flower, at the venue or online;
  • events that encourage recreational use, such as smoking sessions or tasting parties;
  • sales promotions presented as a seminar or workshop, where the main goal is to sell products;
  • events held in a country where cannabis is banned.

Translator’s note: In Thailand, cannabis flower (ช่อดอกกัญชา) is a controlled herb under the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health Re: Controlled Herbs (Cannabis), B.E. 2568, in force since 26 June 2025. Flower may only be sold with a PT 33 (ภ.ท.33) prescription, for a maximum of 30 days. Advertising and online sale of flower are prohibited. This means an event post that offers or advertises flower breaks Thai law, even when it appears on a forum.

Translator’s note: Before you post or sign up for an event, ask the organiser which licences they and their exhibitors hold. Be careful if the only “official link” goes to a shop page, or if the agenda is mostly product launches. You check this so that you do not pay to attend a sales event or end up at one that breaks the law.

How to post an event

Use this template. It lets readers decide quickly whether the event is worth their time and money, and it lets moderators check it fast.

  • Event name:
  • Date and time: (add the time zone if the event is outside Thailand)
  • Venue: city, country and address, or “online”
  • Organiser: the company, association or institution running the event
  • Official link: the organiser’s own page, not a ticket reseller or shop
  • Fee: free, or price and currency
  • Who it is for: for example licensed farms, home growers, researchers or clinic staff
  • Why it is legal (for events abroad, or if the topic involves flower):

After you attend, post a recap in the same topic. Cover what you learned, any useful figures, and whether the event was worth the fee. This helps other members decide about next year’s edition.

If you have a question about an event, or you are not sure whether an event can be posted, ask it below this topic.
