Gro-Silic is a specialized product from Grotek (Canada) formulated to supplement silica (Si) – a vital micronutrient often missing in cultivation systems. Especially for cannabis, silica plays a crucial role in building strong plant structures, increasing resistance to pests and diseases, and improving resilience against environmental stress.

How to Use Gro-Silic for Cannabis Cultivation:
1. Root Drench:
• Dosage: use the rate printed on the container you have. Silica supplements are sold at different concentrations; a rate from another product, or from another label revision, does not carry over.
• Frequency: 1–2 times per week
• Use during: From the vegetative stage to week 3 of the flowering stage
2. Foliar Spray:
• Handling: silicate supplements are alkaline. Grotek’s own instructions for Pro-Silicate state that it is a strong base and must never be added to nutrient concentrate. Pre-dilute it, add it to the tank before the nutrients, then re-check pH.
• Frequency: Once per week, only during the vegetative stage
• Best timing: Early morning or late afternoon, avoid direct sunlight
Note: Do not mix Gro-Silic with low-pH products. It is best to mix separately and adjust pH last.
