If you are posting a job
Job posters should include clear details. These help job seekers compare offers and avoid unclear ads:
- Position and main tasks, so applicants know what the work involves.
- Location, so they know if they can travel there or would need to move.
- Salary or pay range, so they can compare offers before they apply.
- Employer name or licence number, so applicants can check that the business is real and licensed.
- Contact information, so applicants know how to apply.
If you are looking for work
Post a short introduction in Introduce Yourself. Give your region, your experience, and the size of the grows you have worked on (home grow, small farm, licensed farm). Employers can then see quickly whether you match their needs.
Translator’s note: In Thailand, cannabis flower is a controlled herb under the Traditional Medicine Protection Act B.E. 2542 (1999). Selling or processing it requires a licence. Selling or processing it without a licence is punishable under Section 78 of the Act by up to 1 year in prison and/or a fine of up to 20,000 baht. Before you accept a job, ask the employer for their licence number.
Translator’s note: If you are not Thai, you need a work permit before you start work. This is required by the Foreigners’ Working Management Emergency Decree B.E. 2560 (2017), as amended in 2018. Ask the employer who will arrange it before you accept the offer.
Translator’s note: Watch out for job scams. Never pay a fee to get a job. Be very careful with job offers in another country, especially ones that ask you to travel before you have a signed contract. If an offer looks doubtful, ask about it in this category before you go.
