🦠 Diseases, Insects, and Mites
Plant Infirmary Bring a sick plant here. Symptoms that do not obviously belong to a named pest or disease, photographs that need a second opinion, and the root-zone problems that spend a week impersonating a nutrient deficiency before they declare themselves. Powdery Mildew Powdery mildew: the white dusting on leaf surfaces that wipes off with a finger and comes back within days. What separates it from the several other white marks on a cannabis leaf, and how it is managed in a room rather than treated on a plant. Botrytis Botrytis cinerea, the grey mould that hollows out a flower from the inside while the outside still looks finished. Prevention, early detection, and what to do with the rest of a plant once one site has been found. Mites Spider mites, broad mites and russet mites: how to tell which one you have before you spend money treating the wrong thing, what the life cycle means for treatment timing, and which biological and chemical options are workable on a crop that will be inhaled.
