Reviews of specific cultivars as grown, not as advertised: how a packet actually performed in a real room or field, what the phenotypes looked like, and whether the plant resembled what the name promised.
A review is only useful with the conditions attached. The same seed line produces a different plant in a sealed room at twenty-six degrees and in a tropical field in the wet season, so a review without the substrate, the climate, the light and the feeding is an opinion about a photograph rather than information about a cultivar.
Two things are worth stating in every review. Name the breeder as well as the cultivar, because the same name from two sources is routinely unrelated genetics, and a review that does not identify the source cannot be acted on by anyone. And separate what you measured from what you felt: yield, flowering time, structure and aroma are observations, while the effect described afterwards is a single person’s report and is treated here as exactly that.
